This time last week I was up in Vermont hanging out with all these lovely people.
Actually…..at this specific time, I was at the bed & breakfast and still in my bed. I didn’t actually go to bed until 3:00AM, so I was a smidge tired :-) So I’m laying there debating if I should get in the shower and get ready to go……or follow the scent of bacon and head down stairs for some breakfast. But then it’s like, “well….do I get ready and then go do breakfast?? or do I go down in my pajamas?? I don’t want to go down in my pajamas, that would be weird. If I go down now, they’ll talk and I won’t have time to get ready. I can’t do both. I’m horrible at this bed & breakfast thing.”
The whole trip was super fast and I was sad to leave. Once I got use to the bed & breakfast thing, I could have stayed another week or two. All sorts of stories from this trip :-) Not to mention how absolutely gorgeous it was!!!!! I needed two days to just drive around & pick out picture spots.
Everything was so laid back, so go with the flow, so perfect. They had a sweet little wedding, in a cute little white church, located right next door to their cute little bed & breakfast. Their reception was held in a private room at super nice, quaint restaurant attached to the bed & breakfast. It was all straight out of a movie :-)
Granted- I love a big wedding (kinda have to with a family of my size) and I love the idea of being surrounded by lots of people that love you….but Kisha & Eddie’s wedding was SO perfect in it’s own little way. It was so nice just knowing that we didn’t have to worry about 100’s of people….just the 9 of us. We didn’t have to worry about really decorating the church because it was already cute, they didn’t have to worry about running around and talking to all the guest, because we were all seated at a table for 10, we didn’t really have to worry too much about timelines, because everyone around there runs at a much slower pace. Seriously- it was awesome :-)
Along with the slower pace, came no cell phone access or wireless access. Totally threw me off ( I had 116 emails when I got back) and it’s still doing a number on me……but oh my goodness…….soooooooooooooooooooooo nice. I could do that for a good week or two if I had time to prepare for it. I’ve always thought we make ourselves to accessible (cell phone, house phone, email, text, facebook, email, etc.), so this was right up my alley.
ANYWAY- Kisha & Eddie have been waiting awhile to see their pictures, so I’ll just get to it :-)
When we got into town on Monday night, we (the girls) stayed with Kisha most of the night, while Eddie stayed with his best man at a different bed & breakfast. We turned on the fireplace in their room, made bouquets, ate left over pizza and watched bridesmaids. It was perfect & fun :-)
After we did hair, we ran some errands, grabbed some lunch and drove around to look at picture spots. While we were in Brattleboro to do hair, Kisha was able to get a smidge of cell phone reception, so she was able to talk to her boys, Jett & Cash :-) They are those cute little red heads that you’ve seen on my blog a lot. I thought they were coming to the wedding, so I got a little sad at the airport when I found out they weren’t coming, but I totally get where Kisha & Eddie are coming from. They really wanted this trip to be carefree and more of a vacation for them. They wanted to see and do as much as possible and kiddos make that super hard sometimes :-)
Thank you guys SO much for letting me be a part of your wedding :-) I had so much fun and I don’t think it could have been any more perfect or fitting for the two of you! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I only have 10 more sneak peeks to get posted….no big deal, right? Not to mention still returning all the emails. But before I do all that I need to go run and do my 3rd newborn session in less than a week.
Lord help me :-)
