One confession:
Sometimes I won’t unpack my suitcase for like a week. I will just keep pulling stuff out of it, but never putting it all away. I have NO closet space in this tiny apartment- so putting clothes away is quite the task. Plus I’m just lazy when it comes to putting away laundry & unpacking. I could live out of suitcase :-)See!!! So much fun :-) I think everyone should do it. Maybe I should make it into a contest? The winner gets a 1-month Netflix subscription??
Netflix subscriptions are my new favorite “prize”. It works out well because I just buy it online and then email you the gift certificate. Easy breezy!
Since it would be impossible to leave a comment that long in the comment section- Let’s have everyone do this….list out the following: 3 surprising things about yourself, 2 ways to win your heart & 1 confession.
The winner will be picked by either me or some poor individual that I make pick a winner. I don’t want to use random.org because I want to get some really fun & competitive answers :-)
ready, set, go!
Oh, P.S.- Enteries need to be made by Sunday (the 18th) at midnight! I have a full weekend (including a wedding to shoot) so I probably won’t be back to either late Sunday night or Monday morning.

2 Ways to win my Heart

-Be good at back massages!!! (I always have to give them and never get them)
1 Confession
– I’ve always been the little grown up…(When I was 3 the joke in the family was I was 3 going on 30), but inside, a part of me is such a little kid. I love to go to the park and swing at night and look at the stars and when I am stressed out I just want my Disney Princess coloring book and my 96 box of Crayola’s (with the sharpener) and I went to Disneyland for the first time last summer at 23 and it was like the mothership calling me home… (I think if this grad school thing doesn’t work out I will get a job at Disney and be happy the rest of my life :)

3 surprising things, this is hard, most people know me pretty well, that may not be so good,
I have always been outspoken, in some sort, I can be dominate, and want things to go my way, that is not good, and I in earlier years get things done fast and in order.
2 wys to win my heart, be kind, and considerate of others especially of my family, my children and about all my husband, he has a very soft heart, takes things smoothly, doesn’t get upset and yell when things go wrong,
1 confession, I am not as organized as people might think I am, tendendcy to let things slide, and when I do this I get way behind, and get very frustrated and upset at myself for doing this, and actually I am a very nice person, my bark is worse than my bite, and I am working very hard on this, I do have a soft and can cry very easily, I love my family and my relatives very much.

3 surprising things: I was born in Mexico and just became a U.S. citizen two years ago. I love the smell of a chlorine pool! Sometimes I have mild road rage!
2 ways to win my heart: like mexican food, be honest.
1 confession: I can polish off a whole container of cotton candy in one sitting if no one stops me!!!

3 Suprising Things About Me:
1. I like to do outdoor things like ride 4 wheelers or go muddin- most people think I’m too prissy for that.
2. I believe in traditional family roles (like the woman cooking and cleaning) but everyone I know would call me a feminist.
3. I hate the prestigious social effects of having money- even though I grew up in an affluent family.
2 Ways to Win My Heart:
1. Laugh a lot.
2. Smile even more than you laugh.
1 Confession:
I have to imagine that I’m cuddling with my wonderful boyfriend Graham in order to go to sleep, even if he’s not there.

Since it crosses your mind a lot (I have the same thought about my blog), I read every entry in your blog, and I admire your talent as a photographer, your sense of humor, and your wonderful family.
I’m so happy after so many years to be able to reconnect with Mike and Mary Carol and their fabulous family through your blog.
Thanks for writing and sharing your photography.

Ok, Lissy- I read your blog ALL the time! I am actually happy you can’t tell how many times each week I look at it…you would probably worry about me! I LOVE your work! You are truly talented! I will have to set up a time for you to take some pictures of my kids…I think they are a couple of the best looking kids around! ? HA HA
3 surprising things about me. 1. I want to write a book and become a famous author even though I hated reading as a child. 2. I try to write country songs all the time…someday I am going to send one to someone. 3. I am scared of CATS and dogs. The cat thing has been going on for years…I have nightmares about cats attacking me and it freaks me out. I have had this dream for YEARS! Then about 8 years ago I was attacked by a BIG DOG…so now I just stay away from all cats and dogs. (All moms reading…I pretend I am not scared when my kids are around!-Not a fear I want to pass on.)
2 ways to win my heart. 1. Be honest without being hateful 2. Be thoughtful-think of others
1 confession. I let my kids eat bad things for breakfast 3 out of every 7 days…like Goldfish, Cheez-its, very bad cereal, pizza, sometimes suckers, popcorn, and chips….I HATE arguing FIRST thing in the morning- so sometimes I just say YES! We work on healthy stuff later in the day….

This one is taking a lot of thought Lis. I don’t know if there is that much that is surprising about me (I really like yours Tracy especially your confession :0)). So I’ll just throw some things our there.
1. I’m a little obsessed with lists. I have a master to-do list on my computer and then I write down a daily to-do list off of that and last-minute things that come up the night before on a notepad I keep by my computer. I have a separate notepad that I keep a running grocery store list on and the night before I go to the store I rewrite the list in the order of the aisles at the store with food on the left and other products on the right.
2. I don’t like any condiments except for ketchup and I don’t like to overload it. I always about gagged when I had to make Lissy turkey sandwiches with mayo when she was little and I was babysitting.
3. Some people find this pretty funny and I think it was my most embarrassing moment-I was Scholar of the Week my senior year in high school and I found out right before KTVO decided to interview me for the news. That interview was horrible and I definitely didn’t sound very “scholarly”. My parents still have it on tape and I still cringe at the thought of it.
Ways to Win my Heart
1. Love God-not just for show, but sincere
2. Be nice to my family
Confession-
People tell me that I appear to have it all together but I doubt myself ALL the time and honestly could improve in so many ways including in my relationships with God, my husband, and my kids. I guess I can put up a good front, but just ask Andrew about other times. Poor guy, he gets to hear all about it.
Okay now back to my to-do list which includes a lot of things for the fiery red-head’s big 1st birthday.

This one is very hard – can you give us an extension?

Hmmm…3 surprising things about me. 1)I am afraid of a lot of things – from spiders to failure. 2)I am a night owl – I may be up and at work by 8am, but my mind/body aren’t actually awake until about 3pm. 3) I am MUCH stronger than I ever imagined.
2 ways to win my heart. 1) Always be honest, and you don’t have to be harsh about it, but be honest. 2) Be loyal to yourself and others.
1 confession….hhmmmmmm I worry all of the time about my kids growing up to be independent, kind, caring, and strong adults. I also worry all of the time about things that I have no control over and know I should not let them get the best of me, yet I still allow it to get to me. Plain and simple – I am a major worry wart!!!

3 surprising things…
-I would love to be a prompt and efficient person but I am pretty sure God didn’t make me that way so I need to quit beating myself up over it!
-I always want to keep in touch with people but I feel like a day turns into a week, into a month, into a year and after several years it is a little awkward to give someone a call.
-I have to make my bed every morning or I feel LAZY… see Mom – It worked! I will even make my bed at 5pm just so I can pull down the covers at night and crawl in!
2 ways to win my heart…
-Love kids!!!! I love anyone who genuinely loves kids and treats them as if they are important (not like animals like one flight attendant we had) even if they aren’t impressed with you right away!
-Be polite!!!! I feel like people are way too rushed these days and a simple smile, hi, how are you?, you go first, hold the door attitude goes a long way. Even when I am in the car, if someone cuts me off or takes my turn at a stop, I could rage at them a little (because they can’t get to me and I feel protected) but if I smile and give a quick wave I feel much better. Being an awful driver myself, I realize that most of the time it is just an accident!
-Here is an extra one just for kicks! I really get a kick out of cute little old men (not the dirty ones!) The bigger the ears and nose, the crazier the hair, the goofier the jokes – the cuter the old man! My husband makes fun of me but he and my Dad are in luck. They are both shaping up to be adorable old men!
1 confession…
I am not a morning person but if I get up before both of my kiddos I normally get more done in my first 45 minutes of the day then the whole rest of the day. Sleeping in is always tempting but it is also nice to feel like your house is in order and your day is started the right way!
