Oh man…I can’t even describe how excited I was to finally get this picture!!! Amanda will tell you :-) It was one of my ideas for the twins newborn shoot. I’ve had this idea for awhile now but the tough part was figuring out how to make the eggs and then how to get them to Dallas.
So…After much trial and error and making decisions and not making decisions I finally decided to make them here (Dallas) and then we’ll worry about getting them back to St. Louis later. They took a couple nights to make & spray paint, but they turned out GREAT!!!!! I think I confused a lot of people when I would say, “Ok- I’m going to go make my eggs.” hahah.
You ready for this….seriously, I’m SO proud :-) So proud that I’m going to go ahead and post three pictures of it.
Then Carolina decided to be her perfect little self and give me a sweet little yawn. I swear…these are the best babies ever.
This last one was actually taken earlier in the morning when we were just testing things out. We wanted to see how they reacted when we put them in the eggs and I also wanted to check the lighting. Well…they LOVED the eggs. They both actually fell asleep in them and they cried after we took them out. I think it felt all snuggly in them :-) The lighting wasn’t quite right and I needed to charge my camera battery, so we decided to wait till later in the afternoon. But I could resist putting this one up because they were both awake and they’re just looking at me like, “Um…Aunt Liss…we don’t know about this one. This might be taking it a bit past putting us in baskets hanging in the trees.”
Then we took a little break, took some naps, feed some babies, showered and then did some family pictures. Carson was GREAT…up until the last picture, ha! Then he was done and didn’t want to pay attention to me anymore :-)
I was also wanting to knock out the other family pictures (like dad and babies, mom and babies, carson & babies) but we lost steam quickly so we’ll do those another day :-)
Now we are off to make good on our bribes, so we are going to the park and to get some Chocolate milk shakes.
Happy Saturday :-)

I knew you would come up with something this “CUTE” for the twins!!!
I just kept waiting….and then there they were…..unbelievably adorable!!!
They look so content and peaceful. Excellent job, Lissy.
Also, I love the family pictures, everyone looks happy & rested….well, at least happy!!!

CONGRATULATIONS LISSY!!! It worked and the eggs (and babies) are perfect. You could always ship them back (the eggs that is, they don’t let you ship babies). Amanda is the queen of packaging and shipping so I’m sure she can help! Really though, they are adorable! And the family pictures are priceless. I really think they should put the last one above the fireplace and when they go to sell the house, just leave it up, set up a camera and let the open houses begin. The comments would be more than worth it!
Allison says
Yay Lissy! It turned out really sweet. And speaking of sweet, how about Colton’s bottoms that come up to his armpits :0)
Allison says
How odd is it that Sara and I have left comments at the same time the last two times?

Love, love, love the eggs – and the robin’s egg blue is perfect! Amanda is sooooo lucky to have such a creative sister. The family pictures are so sweet and my favorite is, of course, the last one with Carson’s back to the camera – priceless! And so perfect! Love Carolina’s rumba pants, too, I’ve been looking at them on Etsy!

Lissy the egg pictures are amazing! It reminds me of when you are a kid and have a peanut (or something that would normally onle have 1 thing in it) and you get the one that has 2 nuts (or whatever) and then you are super excited. They are so perfect!
