SO much to talk about in this post…so much.
Part 1
Well, as most of you know, I was out of town for about 2 weeks. I went to Kirksville on the 17th and didn’t come back to St. Louis until last night….this means I had A LOT of luggage that my mom was super excited about :) Anyway- I was in Kirksville and then headed to KC on that Friday for a weekend full of shoots. I stayed with Andy & Autumn and I got to hang out with this girl
who makes funny faces like this
who is cool enough to wear heart sunglass (Aunt Molly isn’t cool enough to wear them…but for some reason she still does and we don’t know why)
She is even cool enough to dance to Christmas music with them on
She is also cool enough to be going through potty training. Getting the pants pulled back up is always a tough part :)
She also enjoys this thing…it’s name is Viva and it’s obnoxious
She also likes to hang out with this guy for some reason.
Then she saved me a spot in her big girl bed :) Actually, no she didn’t. I kept joking that I was going to sleep with her (I slept in the guest bedroom) and she kept saying, “issy crazy!”
and then her sweet little face got into my bed the next morning while I edited photos
The next day I managed to snap this photo (in between shoots) of Andy looking all white trash on a Saturday afternoon. Spray painting Mary, Joseph & Sweet Baby Jesus, setting up Briley’s lunch table with umbrella included, lawn chair out, tools out, tricycle out, etc. It made me laugh :) Such a good dad!
PART 2:
So I headed back to Kirksville that Sunday to get ready for my week FILLED with shoots….and this thing called Thanksgiving.
Do you know how much broth it takes to make a massive Thanksgiving dinner??? A lot. Please notice all the broth on top of the fridge….thats just 6 of 24 cartons we had :)
other pre-Thanksgiving preparations included everyone coming into town….including these two crazies (Viva & Max) They’re psycho when they’re together!!!
other preparations included keeping the grandkids entertained, even if it meant putting them on the dinning room table. They can help grandma rearrange her centerpiece :)
Then Thursday morning came and we put Molly in charge of entertaining them (not really…they all just decided to sit by her…even Mr. Lincoln)
Kaitlin was in charge of the Craft Table that ended up being a pretty big hit with all the kiddos
I love group shots :)
hahahahahhah!
Kevin was super thrilled about me having my camera out
Now, this smile is more of what I was looking for
Caroline & Jared
We like to pair up
Caroline really does love Molly….I don’t know why she is making that face
we also love flats
Then it was time to try and get a Killday Family Photo…………………….
Terry & Bob love me! Can’t you just tell by the looks on their faces??
Betty was so excited about the picture that she did a little dance for all of us :)
at this point I had been waiting for 5 minutes to take this family picture…and the only people I had were 3 of the girls.
Terry fell asleep before we even got everyone together
oh wait! He’s awake….isn’t he? or is he just smiling in his sleep??
My dad decided Danny Mike needed to spiffy up
Take One— half of them are actually looking at the camera
Take Two—ok, now I just need to get them to smile
Take Three—- of course Terry would look down on take three…awesome :)
Please notice that Denny hasn’t moved
the funny face picture didn’t go over so well
Then everyone started getting v…e…r…y s…l…e…e…p…y…….
after everyone got their naps in, it was time to clean up (and time for the kids to go out to the Jump House and play)
how cute are they??? Ellie had on Briley’s cowgirl boots(on the wrong feet and about 2 sizes too small) and Briley had on Ellie’s Mary Jane’s (about 2 sizes too big).
Andrew wanted me to document his facial expression while helping clean up
and I will end the post with this super cute picture of the Sedlak gang on Thanksgiving night :)

I know I promised lots of family that I would put a couple recipes on the blog, but I haven’t gotten them from my mom yet. She is going to email them to me and as soon as she does, I will post them.
Now I’m going back to working on Christmas Cards and editing (17 sessions)……
Mom says

Love the Purple Stars! Wish we could have been there this year, but we did have a nice Thanksgiving.
Mom says
Barb, I wanted you to know that when we shared the purple stars all you uncles & guys cousins were a little hesitant …until I said they were for Ashley. Not another word said, they just stuck out their hands.
Love you.
