yes it was a good movie, but this post is not about that movie.
Ok- no pictures this post. I know, I suck! I’ve been getting hate mail for not updating my blog everyday. You guys are ruthless :) I’ve been working on editing ( A TON) and my new site (launching next week, yippy) and I didn’t have any shoots this week, so I haven’t had any sneak peeks. Good news though, I do have 2 shoots this weekend, 1 shoot next week, 2 next weekend and then 4 the weekend after that. That’s 8 shoots in two weeks…so I’m slowly working my way up :)
I did want to go ahead and do a blog post anyway, but I was having trouble coming up with something to blog about. Well….I got a perfect topic while having drinks with some friends tonight. WEDDING DATES!!!! Ugh! Why can’t people go to a wedding without a date?? Why has it become such a big deal?? I have no problem going without a date, but some people will just flat out have a full blown anxiety attack over not having a date. I’ve had several friends not even go to a wedding if they weren’t able to get a date. IT’S BANANAS!!! Besides, your there for the couple that’s getting married, not yourself! I could understand wanting a date or someone to go with you if you don’t know a whole lot of people at the wedding. That would suck. I also understand just bringing a friend along as a date because it is nice to have someone there, but if you have friends there and you know people, why do you absolutely need a date??? Why is it such a big deal if you can’t find anyone to go with you? I do not get it! So, my little friend (you know who you are) GO to the wedding and GO have fun GO hang out with the guy that actually dances !!! Don’t stress about silly things like a date :) Who knows! Maybe you’ll meet someone, I hear weddings are the best spots, ha!
I’m not one of those “be your own self, be an individual, you can take care of yourself” type of girls by any means. I would so much rather be with someone, than on my own…but I would rather be on my own than with the wrong someone. I just think that some people skip that step in life where they learn to appreciate themselves, learn what they’re capable of and what they’re worth, learn to just be, learn to relax and just go with the flow.
Sooooo…the point of this post…I’m just trying to figure out why a wedding date is such a vital thing :)
P.S.- More SUPER FUN AWESOME news today…my sister Amanda and her husband Todd found out they are having TWINS!!!! Yayyyyy!! That means we have 3 babies on the way and by next spring we will have NINE grand babies. This family is really starting to be ridiculous amounts of fun :)

Lissy, that’s when you hope guys like our cousin, Andrew Roberts are at that wedding!
missprissiness says
Oh Kaitlin, I was steering more towards a guy that isn’t your cousin… ;-)
But Andrew is a blast at weddings
Kaitlin says
Oh Liss, I wasn’t talking about a date- HA HA! I was just talking about a guy who likes to go out there and dance …and teaches you how to do the pretzel. I think that was the dance we we’re watching you two attempting to do on the wedding video.

you’re welcome :)

Yes!!! Every girl needs a cousin like Andrew Roberts.
A guy that likes to dance and makes you laugh!

I bet we could make some money if we started renting dad out to girls in need of a wedding date:) He always dances and he makes you laugh!

haha, I haven’t seen Andrew Roberts at a wedding dance since Nancy’s and I remember he was dancing then. He kept asking Ashley to go dance with him and she was too shy. I may even have a picture, but I’d have to dig.

You are so great, Lissy, and you are so right about the date thing – there are alot of people who have met their future mates at a wedding (Adam Wehner for one). Anyway, I’m so very excited that Amanda and Todd are getting a two-fer – how cool is that! Double congrats to them and the whole family. It’s good that there are so many arms to hold all the babies and all the love to share. Nothing better!
Sara says
Seriously, Date’s arent neccessary. All the girls sit around a table and talk because their feet hurt and the guys talk by the bar and once you get married most girls get one, maybe two dances (Unless, your husband is tipsy but then you have to get him home and make it through the next day!) I’m not picking on Ryan :) I’m just putting it as it is! You have more fun at weddings than most other people I know! By the way – I checked out Lemay Singles.net and I think there are some keepers!!!! Just kidding – Love You!!!
